Celebrate Books

It's National Children's Book Week!!! There are so many wonderful children's books out there waiting to be discovered! I think this week I will focus my posts each day on one or two authors that I really enjoy. For tonight though, I will keep it very short because I am really getting into some good parts of The Red Pyramid. More about that later.

Happy Reading!!!

welcome to blogland, so glad your hubby shared your blog!

btw. my little one is into "where is my mummy?" by Jo Brown and "I don't want to go to bed" by Julie Sykes. I know they are "baby books" but my toddler loves them. It was a pick from the librarian and we are really happy about them.

Hi! Welcome to the blogging world. You will find many new friends thru your blog, as well as an invaluable amount of information. I love the name you have... reminds me of the Mary Englebright (sp?) with the Queen of Everything and the Princess of Quite-a-lot.

I love reading and collecting books. But my dear significant other does not. So he bought me a Kindle this year and expects me to dump all my books. yea, right!

And since you are a teacher and you love books, perhaps you can help me. My oldest son is 8, almost 9 and reads at a 5th or 6th grade level. He has adhd, ppd and other stuff but he will sit and read an entire book in a night. We have done the magic tree house books, he likes the wimpy kid, etc... but is there other books similar to those that are a good challenge to read but not yet full of kissing, boyfriend/girlfriend stuff. With his issues, he doesnt comprehend that and reading it would bring on more questions I cannot answer yet. My email is iamsimplysarah@yahoo.com if you want to help. Thanks and I look forward to reading your blog often.

ps... do you have your books read on Goodreads? http://www.goodreads.com/
